Rob Giancola to be Inducted into Valpo's Hall of Fame
Rob Giancola played football from 2000-2004.

An outstanding player for the Crusaders on the football field, Rob Giancola set numerous receiving records during his time at Valparaiso, and, on Saturday, February 19 he will be inducted into the Valparaiso University Athletics Hall of Fame. 

Both a Second and Third Team All-American in 2003, Giancola helped the Crusaders to the Pioneer Football League title that same season.

A First Team All-PFL selection in 2003 after earning Second Team honors a season before, Giancola set school single season records that same year with 1,496 yards receiving, 23 touchdowns, and 140 total points.

A Walter Payton Award finalist, Giancola finished his career at Valpo with 3,804 yards receiving, nearly 600 more than any other player in school history, as well as a school-best 40 touchdowns and 242 career points.

Giancola is currently a senior assistant manager for American General Finance.

The Valparaiso University Athletics Hall of Fame Induction Banquet will be held on Saturday, February 19 at 1 p.m. at the St. Teresa of Avila Student Center.  Please note, this is a time and location change for the banquet.  The inductees will also be recognized at halftime men’s basketball game on the same day.
