Kris Sanders, a member of the Valparaiso University staff since 2005, became the Administrative Assistant for Athletics in October 2017.

Sanders joined Valpo Athletics after spending the previous two years working in Integrated Marketing and Communications, where she prepared reports, served as an IT/HR/payroll liaison and supported the Assistant Vice President in ensuring that the IMC staff was upholding the University’s mission and strategic goals.

From 2009-2015, Sanders hired, trained and managed a staff of 12 while working at Student Mail Services & Design Works, where she provided mail and package services for over 1,800 residents and print production across campus.

A veteran of many different departments on campus, Sanders has also worked in facilities management (2007-2009) and human resources (2005-2007).

A graduate of Freeport High School (Ill.) and Valparaiso University, Sanders has lived in Valpo for 17 years with her husband Chip. She has four children and four grandchildren.
