The Valparaiso University baseball team will be holding a chicken barbeque cookout on Saturday, May 8 as the Crusaders host instate rival Butler in a Horizon League doubleheader. 

The Nelson’s chicken dinner will be served from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., with the first pitch of the twinbill slated for noon.  The cost of the chicken is $6 with a side of “pit-tatoes” costing $3.  The food can be ordered in advance by contacting any Crusader baseball player or Josh Dietz at (219) 465-7961.

Anyone who purchases a dinner will also be entered into a raffle to win gifts courtesy of the Valpo baseball program.
