A Few Tickets Remain for Jan. 29 Baseball Bash

A limited number of tickets still remain for the fourth annual Valparaiso University Baseball Bash to be held on Saturday, January 29 at Aberdeen Manor.  David Kaplan, Chicago Tribune Live host and host of the Tenth Inning Show for Chicago Cubs baseball games will be the featured speaker.

Kaplan has earned six Achievement in Radio awards, including three for best sports talk show and two for best sportscast.  He was the Illinois Broadcaster’s Association Silver Dome Award winner twice, and has also provided play-by-play and color commentary for ESPN and Comcast Sports Net. 

He has hosted Chicago Tribune Live on Comcast SportsNet Chicago since 2008 and also hosts Sports Central on WGN Radio. 

The fourth annual Valparaiso University Baseball Bash will be held at Aberdeen Manor located at 216 Ballantrae in Valparaiso, Ind.   In addition to a featured address by Kaplan, this will be the public’s first opportunity to meet the 2011 Valparaiso University baseball team.  The night includes a sit-down dinner, a cash bar, a silent auction as well as a live auction.  The doors will open to the public at 5:00 p.m. for a social hour with dinner being served at 6:15 p.m.
