Valpo to Play UIC Sunday Looking to Finish 3rd

Valparaiso will play UIC Sunday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. at Emory G. Bauer Field to make up one of the three games rained out between Friday and Saturday.  With a win, the Crusaders would finish in third place in the Horizon League and earn the third seed in the upcoming Horizon League Tournament.

The need for the make-up game became necessary when Cleveland State swept a doubleheader from Wright State on Saturday, thus leaving just percentage points separating Wright State and the Crusaders for third and fourth place.

The late start time is due to commencement ceremonies on the Valpo campus throughout the day.  Five Crusaders, Alex Berry, Dan DeBruin, Collin Johnson, Matt Lenski, and John Snelten will be wrapping up their home careers on Sunday.
