Valpo Baseball to Host Comedy Night Featuring Bobby Collins
Bobby Collins will come to the ARC on April 21.

The Valparaiso University baseball program will be hosting Bobby Collins “On the Inside”, an evening of Las Vegas comedy, on April 21 at 7:30 p.m. in the Athletics-Recreation Center.

Collins is an award-winning comedian, who has starred in his own Showtime Special, was the host of VH1's “Stand Up Spotlight,” and most recently has been seen on the “Joy Behar Show.”  He has toured with Cher, Julio Iglesias, Dolly Parton and Tony Bennett, among others.  In addition, he’s released three DVDs and six CDs, with his second CD, “Out of Bounds,” earning him a Grammy nomination.  His latest CD, “I'm on the Boat, Woman and Children First,” is on its way to becoming a number one best seller.

Valparaiso University’s Ross Blankenship, along with Chicago Second City contributor David James Spaliaras will serve as special guests for the event.

The event is part of Valparaiso’s home weekend series against Butler, with games on Friday at 3 p.m., Saturday at noon, and Sunday at 1 p.m. at Emory G. Bauer Field.  On Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. the coaches and players will be hosting a Little League clinic with the Valpo Americans.

Tickets for Bobby Collins “On the Inside” are $20 and $30 and available at the ARC ticket office, by phone at 219.464.5233 or 1.877.MY.VU.TIX, or online at etix.com.  Corporate tables are available.  All students will receive a $10 discount on any ticket with valid ID.  In addition, a limited number of corporate tables are available by contacting the Valpo Baseball Office at 219.464.5239.
