Valparaiso’s scheduled baseball game for Tuesday afternoon at Emory G. Bauer Field against Chicago State has been cancelled due to scheduling conflicts with the Cougars and will not be made up.

Chicago State has been limited by the NCAA to 50 games this season and has already played 46 to date, with a four-game Great West Conference series scheduled for this weekend.

Valparaiso (29-22, 19-8 Horizon) will wrap up the 2012 regular season this weekend with a three-game series against Youngstown State (9-38, 7-20) slated for Thursday through Saturday at Emory G. Bauer Field.  First pitch is set for 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday with Saturday’s Senior Day contest scheduled for 1 p.m.

The Crusaders enter the final weekend one game behind Wright State in the Horizon League standings in the quest for their first conference championship since joining the league.
