Head baseball coach Brian Schmack announced Monday that the team is holding walk-on tryouts for the 2016 roster on Wednesday, Sept. 2nd.

Tryouts will begin at 4:00 p.m. and interested participants should report to Emory G. Bauer Field at Eastgate Fields by 3:30 p.m. Players trying out should bring all of the necessary equipment (bats, gloves, cleats and, if necessary, catching gear). Those trying out will be put through a variety of workouts and drills.

Prospective players are required to complete a pre-participation physical exam form, have had a physical exam in the past year, and ability to provide either sickle cell results or a signed waiver. The pre-participation exam form can be picked up in the Valpo Baseball Offices at Eastgate. All forms must be returned to assistant coach Ben Wolgamot at the baseball office no later than Sept. 1^st  in order to participate in the tryout. In addition, all players must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours at Valparaiso University within one's five-year clock.
