Punt Return Helps Popper Earn PFL Honors
John Popper is this week's PFL co-Player of the Week.

After returning a punt 48 yards for a touchdown against Campbell, John Popper (Dublin, Ohio/Coffman H.S.) was named the Pioneer Football League’s co-Special Teams Player of the Week.

The junior returned three punts on the day for 74 yards (24.7 ypr), including the touchdown in the third quarter to help lead the Crusaders to victory.  He also had a 31-yard kickoff return and rushed eight times for 30 yards on the day to accumulate 135 all-purpose yards.

Popper ranks second in the PFL averaging 127.4 all-purpose yards per game.

Popper and the Crusaders will close out the 2008 regular season on Saturday against Drake in a noon kickoff at Brown Field.
