Valpo Football Adds 38 for 2006 Class

Friday, May 05, 2006

Valparaiso University head coach Stacy Adams has announced the addition of 38 individuals will join the Crusader football program in the fall as members of the 2006 recruiting class.

Four transfers join 34 incoming freshmen to make up Adams' first after taking over the Brown and Gold program just prior to the start of last season. Offensively Adams has brought in 19 new players with 17 players coming in on the defensive side of the ball. Two kickers round out the recruiting class.

?After a recruiting class of 65 last year we were able to go out and specialize on positions to fill our needs this year," Adams said. ?I feel we have obtained our goal to help our program succeed for the next few years."
