Valparaiso University head basketball coach Homer Drew has announced that Ivan Vujic has joined the Crusader staff.

Vujic played for the Crusaders during the 1998-1999 and 1999-2000 seasons where he averaged 10.6 points and 5.7 rebounds per game during his two-year career.

In 1999, he was named to the Mid-Continent Conference All-Newcomer Team. He helped lead Valpo to two NCAA Tournament appearances as well.

He has spent four years playing basketball professionally in Europe and also played in Puerto Rico. Most recently, Vujic coached the Croatian Junior National Team for two years and also coached B.C. Dubrava-Zagreb.

?We are very happy and proud to have Ivan return to Valpo and help work with our frontline players," Drew said. ?I am personally very excited about getting him back involved with our program. He has the energy and passion that will carry over to the rest of the team and staff. He is a very positive addition to our program and will help our big players."
