Wednesday, November 15, 2006
Valparaiso men's basketball coach Homer Drew announced today that Howard Little will join the Crusader program beginning with the 2007-2008 campaign.

?We are very excited to have Howard join our Valpo family," said Drew. ?His parents have always encouraged him to achieve on the basketball court, and they really enjoy watching Howard play."

A 6'4" combo guard, Little is playing this season at Stoneridge School in Simi Valley, Calif. He was a four-year starter during his high school career in Chicago at Crete Monee and Rich Central High Schools, earning All-Conference honors in each of his four seasons. As a senior last year at Rich Central, Little registered 20.4 points and 3.3 assists per game. Little joins Bryan Bouchie in next season's Crusader freshman class.

?Howard is a very versatile player who can play multiple positions," said Drew. ?He can handle the basketball, shoot the 3-pointer and drive to the basket, but his best attribute is his excellent defensive play. We look forward to having Howard as a member of our Valparaiso program."
