Crusaders Announce Three Televised Games, Legends Classic Opponents

The Valparaiso men’s basketball team will play at least three games during the 2009-2010 season that will air nationwide, as it was announced today that the Michigan State and Purdue contests will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network, along with the North Carolina game being aired on Fox Sports South.  Also, the Crusaders revealed their final three opponents for the Legends Classic in late November.

The Crusaders’ game with Michigan State, which serves as a regional round game in the Legends Classic, will be shown live on the Big Ten Network at 11 a.m. CDT on Sunday, Nov. 22.  Valpo will take on Purdue for the second straight season live on the Big Ten Network on Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 6 p.m. CDT, while the North Carolina game will be broadcast live on Fox Sports South on Sunday, Nov. 15 at 3 p.m. CDT.

Valpo will finish play at the Legends Classic in the subregional round, to be played in Statesboro, Ga.  The Crusaders will play three games in a 42-hour span, starting with a contest against host Georgia Southern at 6:30 p.m. CDT on Friday, Nov. 27.  Valpo will then play Troy at 2 p.m. CDT on Saturday, Nov. 28 before concluding play on Sunday, Nov. 29 at noon CDT against Arkansas-Fort Smith.
