The Valparaiso University men’s basketball team has been picked to finish in seventh place during the 2018-19 season, as the MVC released its preseason poll on Thursday morning.

Valpo totaled 173 points in the preseason polling of the conference’s head coaches, sports information directors and media members to come in seventh position. Loyola claimed 29 of 43 first-place votes to top the polling, while Illinois State (10 first-place votes) and Southern Illinois (four first-place votes) came in immediately behind the Ramblers.

The first opportunity for fans to catch Valpo in action comes on Thursday, Nov. 1 as it hosts UIndy in exhibition action at the ARC.
