Valparaiso cross country head coach Mike Straubel announced today the incoming freshman class for the Crusaders' program in 2013, with eight male and five female newcomers. Among the newcomers are Crown Point H.S. graduate Dan Walters and Conner Ennis, who attended Chesterton H.S. for two years.

Men's Cross Country
Adam Bruno - Bloomington, Ill. - An All-Conference, All-Regional and All-Sectional honoree. High school PR of 15:06. Part of second-place 4x800m relay team at state track meet, running a 1:57 split.
Devin Clark - Monmouth, Ill. - Finished in 17th place at state cross country meet. An All-Conference selection. High school PR of 15:19. Part of fourth-place 4x800m relay squad at state track meet.
Bryce Domjan - Jackson, Mo.
Conner Ennis - Acworth, Ga. - Attended Chesterton H.S. as a freshman and sophomore. Helped team to regional title. High school PR of 16:18. A state finalist in the 3,200m on the track with a PR of 9:43.
Max Morello - Plano, Ill. - Conference individual champion. Placed 39th in the state cross country meet.
Dan Walters - Crown Point, Ind. - An All-Conference honoree. High school PR of 16:10. Part of third-place 4x800m relay team at state track meet, running a 1:55 split.
Collin Warke - Romeoville, Ill. - An All-Conference choice. Qualified for the state cross country meet. High school PR of 15:30.
Reid Zimmerman - Goshen, Ind. - An All-Conference recipient. High school PR of 16:32. Helped 4x800m relay team make state track meet finals, running a 1:56 split.

Women's Cross Country
Liz Bloy - Freedom, Wis. - Finished fourth at state cross country meet with time of 14:43 over 4K, earning First Team All-State honors. Conference individual champion. Posted PRs of 5:07 (1,600m run) and 11:16 (3,200m run) during track season. Helped 4x800m relay team to fourth place finish at state track meet.
