Valpo’s Henning Named to Horizon League All-Academic Team
Kyle Henning was voted to the Horizon League's All-Academic Team.

Valparaiso University’s Kyle Henning (Brookfield, Wis./East H.S.) has been named to the Academic All-Horizon League in men’s golf.

Henning led the Crusaders on the season with a 75.21 scoring average over 24 rounds in nine total events.  He turned in a pair of top-10 finishes, including a third place effort at Michigan State’s Fossum Invitational.  The Valpo sophomore fired a low round of 68, which was the best by any Crusader on the year.

In April, Henning earned Horizon League Golfer of the Week accolades for his efforts at Western Illinois’ Beu Mussato Invitational.

A civil engineering major, Henning sports a 3.76 cumulative grade point average.

To be eligible for Academic All-Horizon League consideration, the student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and have completed at least one year at the member institution, having earned 24 semester hours or 36 quarter hours.
