Valpo's Men's and Women's Soccer Earn NSCAA Team Academic Award

Valparaiso University was one of just 23 Division I schools to receive the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Team Academic Award for both men's and women's soccer during the 2002-2003 season. The awards were handed out as part of the annual NSCAA Convention recently held in Charlotte, N.C.

The awards were handed out by the NSCAA to all schools with a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Head coach Mis' Mrak's men's team 3.30 GPA and was one of just 78 men's programs in all levels to earn the honor. Head coach Stephen Anthony's women's squad earned a 3.40 GPA and was one of just three schools in the Mid-Continent Conference to earn the distinction.
