Valparaiso University senior Ben Olson (Oregon, Wis./Oregon H.S.) has been named Mid-Continent Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week following his scoring outburst over the weekend for the Crusaders.

Olson scored three goals, including a match-winner as the Brown and Gold defeated UMKC and Loyola (Ill.).

Against UMKC, he scored late in the first half to give the Crusaders the lead in a 3-2 victory that vaulted Valpo into first place in the conference standings. Against the Ramblers, Olson tallied a pair of late goals as Valpo defeated Loyola 3-2 in overtime. His first marker came with just 5:46 left in regulation to tie the match, as the Crusaders were playing a man down. He then tallied his third match-winner of the season 2:17 into overtime to secure the victory.
