The Valparaiso men’s soccer team is ranked eighth in the first NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division I Men's Great Lakes Region Poll. This is the second straight season that the Crusaders have been regionally ranked at least once during the season and the third time in the past four seasons.

The Horizon League was well represented in the poll as well, with four teams in the top ten. UIC is ranked third; Milwaukee is fourth while Wright State rounds out the poll at tenth. UIC is also ranked in the top 25 nationally and Milwaukee is receiving votes.

Valparaiso is off this week and returns to the pitch on Tuesday, September 9, against the Butler Bulldogs. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. CT, with live stats available through ValpoAthletics.com.
