Junior midfielder Jordan Aidoud (Lyon, France/CEFAM) has been named the Horizon League Offensive Player of the Week after he tallied three goals and an assist in two games.

Aidoud scored two of his goals via the penalty kick, with his first coming on Tuesday against IUPUI to give the Crusaders the lead just 15 minutes into the game. Valpo would go on to win, 3-1. On Friday night against league rival Wright State, Aidoud gave the Brown and Gold offense a spark in the second half, scoring on a penalty kick in the 53rd minute before blasting the game-tying goal off a Nick Suker (Downers Grove, Ill./South) pass in the 77th minute. He would get the assist on the fifth Crusader goal of the second half as Valpo would go on to win the game, 5-2.

Aidoud is now tied for the team lead in goals (three) and leads the Crusaders with 10 points.

Valpo returns to league action Wednesday night against Detroit, kickoff is set for 7:30 pm CT. Live stats will be available through ValpoAthletics.com and the match will be streamed on the Horizon League Network through HorizonLeague.com.
