The Valparaiso University men’s soccer program will be hosting its VIP Winter Futsal Camp at the Athletics-Recreation Center on Sunday, December 20 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The camp is open to all high school students currently in grades 9-12.

The purpose of the Winter Futsal Camp will be to provide college-bound soccer players an opportunity to demonstrate their abilities through exercises centered on speed of play, decision-making, competitiveness, and team play, all while being evaluated by the Valparaiso University men’s soccer coaching staff and other elite coaches from the college ranks.

In a high-intensity training environment similar to the environment they will experience at the college level, players will be engaged in smaller playing environments to maximize the amount of touches on the ball. This smaller playing environment will create greater opportunity for the prospective student athletes to be involved and will show the coaches in attendance how the players perform in high pressure situations.
