Valparaiso University's Mike Hermes (Hudson, Ill./U-High) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Men's Swimmer of the Week.

The junior won three events over the weekend. He won the 100 breaststroke twice. He began by posting a time of 1:01.84 in the victory over Ball State and Butler, then posted a season's best 1:00.75 in the win over Miami (Ohio) and Xavier.

Hermes also won the 200 breast (2:11.95) in the meet against Miami and Xavier.
