With One Day to Go in HL Championships, Men and Women Swimmers Sit at 6th, 7th Respectively

The Horizon League Championships conclude Saturday in Chicago and though both the men's and women's teams reside in last place, several individuals qualified in their respective events.

On the women's side, Flavia Segatto clocked a time of 5:04.23 in the 500-yard freestyle which qualified her for tomorrow's action.  In the same race, Andrea Bretl grasped the last spot with a time of 5:12.81.  

Makenna Cannon notched the last spot in the 100 yard breaststroke qualifying with a time of 1:09.80.

Ciara Lightner and Lauren Knop combined to earn the Crusaders 6.5 points with their finishes in the 100 yard backstroke.

In men's action, Frederick Jenny placed 8th in the 100 yard breaststroke, which earned Valpo 11 points.  

Though Gonzalo Castro Diaz finished just a couple spots out of qualifying in the 200 yard IM, he responded with a 4:08.49 time in the 400 yard IM which did qualify him.
