Valpo Swim Teams Earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Recognition

The Valpo men’s and women’s swimming teams were named Scholar All-America Teams by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA), as announced by the organization today.

The women’s team earned the honor, which was awarded based on the fall 2019 semester, with a 3.25 semester grade point average. This marks the third consecutive semester that the Valpo women have been honored.

The men’s team picked up the accolade as it posted a 3.18 GPA for the fall 2019 semester. The Valpo men have now received recognition in back-to-back semesters.

The CSCAA has selected a record 762 teams from 480 institutions to the Scholar All-America Team for the fall 2019 semester.  The teams were selected by the CSCAA’s Scholar All-America committee on the basis of their fall grade point averages and represent 17,685 student-athletes in total. To earn the honor, teams were required to post a GPA of 3.0 or higher for the fall semester and maintain a roster of 12 or more student-athletes.
