Valpo Drops Three Meets on Wednesday

For the second straight day the Valparaiso men's swimming and diving team lost all three contests at a triple-dual meet held in Saint Louis, Mo.

The Crusaders fell 142-58 against Centenary, dropped a 151-66 decision to IUPUI and lost 159-51 versus Saint Louis.

Dave Peterson (Schererville, Ind./Highland H.S.) finished third for the Brown and Gold in the 400 individual medley with a time of 4:20.77. The senior then came back and finished second in the 100 breaststroke, touching the wall in 1:00.35.

Adam Jajtner (Port Washington, Wis./Port Washington H.S.) turned in Valpo's only other top-four finish, finishing fourth in the 500 freestyle with a mark of 4:55.74.

Valparaiso (1-13) will take a couple of weeks off before heading to the Tampa Invitational in Tampa, Fla. on January 6 in a meet that begins at 10 a.m. CST.
