Despite three victories from Adam Jajtner (Port Washington, Ill./Port Washington H.S.), Valparaiso dropped a tough 113-92 decision to Eastern Illinois on Senior Day at the Athletics-Recreation Center.
The Crusaders honored their lone senior, Ed Standen (Saint Joseph, Mich./Saint Joseph H.S.), prior to the meet.
“Ed has been an integral part of our team for four years,” interim head coach Barbara Tyree said. “He had some good swims today to finish up at home.”

“Adam swam excellent and really dominated his races,” Tyree said.
David Sivak (Hobart, Ind./Hobart H.S.) added a victory in the 50 freestyle with a time of 21.84 seconds.
“Dave won a fantastic race,” Tyree added. “It was the race of the day.”
