Valparaiso University's Travers Smith (Huntley, Ill./Huntley H.S.) has been named to the Mid-Continent Conference Second Team following his performance this past weekend at the league's championship meet.

Smith finished in second place in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:44.57, Valpo's highest individual finish in the meet. The sophomore also finished fourth in the 200 backstroke (1:58.93) and fifth in the 100 back (54.10).

He also was a member of the third place 800 free relay (7:07.34) that set a new school record and the third place 400 medley relay (3:35.23). The 400 free relay that Smith was a part of also earned third position with a time of 3:13.53.
