Box Score

            David Sivak (Hobart, Ind./Hobart H.S.) won three events but Valparaiso dropped a home meet on Saturday afternoon, falling to Western Illinois 145-91 at the Athletics-Recreation Center pool.

            Sivak began the day with a half second victory in the 50 freestyle with a time of 21.85 seconds.  He added a 1.5 second win in the 100 free later in the afternoon before teaming with Dan Meals (Washington, Ill./Washington Community H.S.), Ed Standen (Saint Joseph, Mich./Saint Joseph H.S.), and Ansel Hillmer (Tampa, Fla./Hillsborough H.S.) to win the 400 freestyle relay to cap the meet in a time of 3:28.76.

            Hillmer also earned a win for Valpo in the 100 butterfly with a time of 54.22 seconds.

            Valparaiso will return to action on December 7 as the Crusaders head to Green Bay, Wis. for a meet against the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Phoenix beginning at 5 p.m.
