Dunham-Freer Named to Mid-Con First Team, Vrabel Earns Second Team Honors

Valparaiso University's Ben Dunham-Freer (Fort Thomas, Ky./Highlands H.S.) has been named to the Mid-Continent Conference First Team for his play this season, while teammate Jeff Vrabel (Allen Park, Mich./St. Francis Cabrini H.S.) has earned Second Team honors from the conference.

Dunham-Freer, a sophomore, went 3-2 in Mid-Con play at first singles for the Crusaders, including a three-set victory over Saggar Salim of Chicago State, the Mid-Con's Newcomer of the Year.

A junior, Vrabel played second singles for Valpo where he posted a 2-3 conference mark.

Dunham-Freer and Vrabel also teamed at first doubles for the Brown and Gold, where the duo went 4-1 in Mid-Con play and won seven of their last ten doubles contests.

Valpo finished the Mid-Con season with a 3-1-1 mark to finish third in the conference standings.
