The Valparaiso men's tennis team ended its regular season at home on Tuesday afternoon, falling to Illinois-Chicago 6-1 at Brown Courts.

The Flames opened the contest by taking two of the three doubles matches to earn the day's first point. Ben Dunham-Freer (Fort Thomas, Ky./Highlands H.S.) and Jeff Vrabel (Allen Park, Mich./St. Francis Cabrini H.S.) cruised at first doubles 8-1, but it was the only match Valpo won.

In singles play, UIC won five of the six matches in straight sets. Vrabel posted the Brown and Gold's only victory, 6-3, 6-1 at second singles.

Valpo (5-13) will head the Mid-Continent Conference Tournament on Friday morning in Tulsa, Okla. The Crusaders, the tournament's third seed, will face IUPUI at 10 a.m.
