Butler came into Valparaiso on a blustery day and shutout the Crusaders 7-0 on Tuesday afternoon at Brown Courts.

The Bulldogs opened the match sweeping all three doubles matches. The visitors won first and second doubles by 8-1 scores before Tyler Neemann (Manassas, Va./Stonewall Jackson H.S.) and Jay Adams (Detroit, Mich./Andover H.S.) kept third doubles close before falling 9-7.

In singles play the Bulldogs won all six matches from Valpo (3-11) in straight sets. Ben Dunham-Freer (Fort Thomas, Ky./Highlands H.S.) played the tightest match at the top spot before falling 6-3, 6-3.

The Crusaders will return to the courts on Wednesday afternoon when they travel to Kalamazoo for a 2 p.m. CDT match.
