Valparaiso University's Dave Bukowski (Mount Prospect, Ill./Prospect H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Athlete of the Week after recording a three-set victory for the Crusaders on Friday against Northern Illinois.

The sophomore tallied a 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 win at fifth singles for the Brown and Gold. The victory was his fifth straight during the month of March.

Bukowski becomes the third different Valpo player to earn the honor this season. Ben Dunham-Freer (Fort Thomas, Ky./Highlands H.S.) has won the accolade three times and Nic Kooyers (Holland, Mich./Holland H.S.) has also earned the award for the Crusaders.
