The Valpo men's tennis team's bid for a 20-win season will have to wait at least one more day. The Cleveland State Vikings rallied from a 2-0 deficit to upend the Crusaders 4-3 on Saturday afternoon at the CWRU Carlton Courts.

Jeffrey Schorsch (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg)/Charlie Emhardt (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) opened the afternoon with a convincing 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles over Nolan Marks/Ali Shabib. The victory was the 27th of the season for the Crusader tandem. CSU's Joe VanMeter and Jorg van der Vloet evened doubles play with a 6-4 win against Lucas Waak (Manitowoc, Wis./Roncalli) and Garrett Gardner (Poland, Ohio/Poland) at No. 3. Valpo found itself with a 2-0 lead following Schorsch's rapid 6-2, 6-2 triumph over VanMeter at No. 1.

Kyle Dunn (Fond du Lac, Wis./Fond du Lac) stepped up and collected a big 6-0, 7-6 (2) win opposite Radosevic at No. 5.

Despite trailing 3-1, the Vikings raced back to win the remaining three matches to capture a 4-3 team win.

Van der Vloet outlasted Bacalla 6-3, 7-5 at No. 2. Shabib defeated Emhardt 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 in a tight three-setter.

Bellutti and Gardner went toe-to-toe in their match at No. 3, requiring tiebreakers in both sets. Bellutti edged out the freshman, 7-6 (3), 7-6 (4) to move the Vikings into a tie with the Crusaders at 3-2 in Horizon League play.

Valpo (19-6, 3-2 Horizon) will wrap up the regular season on Sunday morning at Youngstown State. First serve is slated for 9:00 a.m. ET/8:00 a.m. CT at the Boardman Tennis Center.
