Dave Bacalla (Skokie, Ill./Niles North) finished his run in Tulsa with a 6-3, 5-7, 6-3 victory over Juan Matias Gonzalez. The win wraps up a 4-2 singles week for the junior who advanced from the pre-qualifying draw into qualifying play.  

In the doubles half of ITA All-American qualifying action, Bacalla and freshman Chad Kissell (Latrobe, Pa./Greater Latrobe) went the distance against Troy's Pablo Moreno/Giovani Sahama, but eventually fell 7-5, 1-6, 10-2.

In other singles play, #119 Jeffrey Schorsch (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg) suffered a 7-5, 6-1 setback to TCU's Trevor Johnson.

Schorsch and Charlie Emhardt (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) will open play in the main draw Doubles Tournament beginning Thursday.
