Valpo Tennis Set for ITA Midwest Regionals

The Valparaiso University men’s and women’s tennis teams will both be represented in their respective ITA Midwest Regionals this week.

The Valpo women will have a pair of individuals participating in the Midwest Region Qualifying draw, hosted by The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor starting on Thursday. After winning the Missouri Valley Conference individual title at No. 1 singles, sophomore Jelena Vujanic (Elk Grove Village, Ill. / Elk Grove) will begin her regional quest by facing Natalia Bravo of Illinois State in the first round on Thursday.

The men’s regional will be played at Eck Tennis Pavilion in Notre Dame, Ind. and Lakeland Athletic Club in Niles, Mich. Regional doubles and singles champions will qualify for the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships in Arizona next month.
