Valpo men compete at Duke Invitational and Chicagoland Championships
Wally Bradford placed 11th in his heat of the 800-meter run at the Duke Invitational.

The Valparaiso men’s track teams finished up competition on Saturday at both the Duke Invitational in Durham, N.C. and the Chicagoland Championships in Romeoville, Ill.

At Duke, senior Wally Bradford (Mukwonago, Wis./Mukwonago) finished 11th in his heat of the 800-meter run, posting a season-best time of 1:58.73.

In the Chicagoland Championships, freshman Barrett Rehm (Watertown, Wis./Watertown) finished fourth in the pole vault, clearing 13’ 3 ½”.

Freshman Antown Hatchett (Indianapolis, Ind./Warren Central) placed 10th in the 400-meter hurdles. He finished with a time of 1:00.64.

Freshman Elijah Owen (LaPorte, Ind./LaPorte) placed 10th in the javelin throw (143’ 0”) and 13th in the triple jump with a season-best mark of 41’ 6 ½”.

The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, April 13 at the Eagle Invitational in Lisle, Ill.
