Valparaiso University's Monika Danko (Northfield, Ill./New Trier H.S.) and Mara Sonkin (Wheaton, Ill./Warrenville South H.S.) have each been named to the Mid-Continent Conference Second Team.

Danko, a sophomore, went 14-10 on the season playing at second singles in the Crusaders line-up. She went 5-1 in Mid-Con play and had a season-best seven-match winning streak midway through the season.

A junior, Sonkin was named to the Mid-Con Second Team for the third straight time in her career. Playing at first singles, Sonkin posted a 12-12 mark overall and had a 3-3 record during conference play.

Valpo finished in second place in the Mid-Con as a team in 2003, sporting a 6-1 Mid-Con record.
