A pair of Crusaders headed out west over the weekend to compete at the Stanford Invitational in Palo Alto, Calif.

Rachel Nelson (Lee's Summit, Mo./Lee's Summit H.S.) finished in 21st place in the 1500m run with a time of 4:46.46, while Amanda Lee (South Lyon, Mich./South Lyon H.S.) placed 17th in the 3000m steeplechase, crossing the finish line in 12:07.10.

The Crusaders will return to action next weekend with a quadrangular meet at DePauw.
