The Valparaiso women's swim team was defeated by Eastern Illinois 180-60 on Saturday afternoon in Charleston, Ill.

Leah Schneider (Sussex, Wis./Arrowhead H.S.) posted a victory in the 200 individual medley for the Brown and Gold, out-touching the Panthers with a time of 2:17.64.

Katie Urbas (Ballwin, Mo./Marquette H.S.) registered Valpo's other victory on the afternoon, posting a two-second triumph in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:17.70. Urbas also finished second in the 1000 free with a mark of 11:14.89.

Britt Nelson (Cortland, N.Y./Homer H.S.) recorded the Crusaders only other second place finish in the meet with her time of 26.45 seconds in the 50 freestyle.

The Crusaders will return to the water on February 7 when they travel to Illinois-Chicago.
