The Valparaiso men's tennis team has been picked to finish third in the Mid-Continent Conference in the preseason poll conducted by the league's head coaches.

The Crusaders, the defending conference regular season champions, garnered one first place vote and are picked behind UMKC and Oral Roberts. IUPUI and Western Illinois were selected in a tie for fourth, while Chicago State was picked sixth.

Valpo opens conference play on April 11 against IUPUI in Kansas City, Mo.
