The Valparaiso women's tennis team has been picked to finish second in the Mid-Continent Conference in the preseason poll conducted by the league's head coaches.

The Crusaders, which finished second in the Mid-Con last season, garnered one first place vote and are picked behind Oral Roberts, the defending conference champions. IUPUI and Western Illinois were selected third and fourth, while Southern Utah was picked fifth. Chicago State, UMKC, and Oakland round out the women's poll.

Valpo opens conference play on April 4 against IUPUI and UMKC in Rochester, Mich.
