Valparaiso University's Elliot Powell (Orange, Calif./Santa Ana H.S.) brought the Crusaders' indoor track and field season to an end on Saturday, competing in the Alex Wilson Invitational held in Notre Dame, Ind.

Powell did not qualify for the finals in the 60m dash with his time of 7.05 seconds. The junior also finished ninth in the 200m dash with a time of 22.31 seconds. His 200m time bettered his school record by .01 seconds.

Valpo will return to action March 26-27 at the Purdue Open to begin the outdoor campaign.
