Valparaiso University's Ashley Seale (Maryville, Tenn./Maryville H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Athlete of the Week for her performance in the pool this past weekend.

The sophomore won the 100 breaststroke in the Crusaders dual meet against Hope, helping Valpo sweep the top three places in the event with a time of 1:11.63. She also finished in third place in the 400 individual medley (4:58.95).

Seale is the first Crusader this season to earn the honor.
