Valparaiso University's 2005 home opener against Michigan State slated for Thursday afternoon has been postponed after heavy rains came through the Valparaiso area late Wednesday night.

The Crusaders will host Western Illinois on Friday in doubleheader action beginning at 2 p.m. to open a four-game weekend homestand with the Westerwinds.
