Dunham-Freer Wins Second Straight Mid-Con Athlete of the Week Honor
Wednesday, October 06, 2004 Valparaiso University's Ben Dunham-Freer (Fort Thomas, Ky./Highlands H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Athlete of the Week in men's tennis for the second straight week.The senior won both of his singles matches at the top spot in the line-up over the weekend, rallying for a three-set win against Wisconsin-Green Bay on Friday before cruising to a straight-sets victory over Cleveland State. Dunham-Freer also posted a win with Nic Kooyers (Holland, Mich./Holland H.S.) at first doubles against Cleveland State, helping the Brown and Gold to a team sweep of the Vikings. |
