Erin Murray (Pleasanton, Calif./Amador Valley H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Defensive Player of the Week after leading Valparaiso to a pair of shutouts over the weekend.

The freshman goalkeeper made four saves on Friday in the Crusaders' 1-0 victory over North Dakota State. Sunday in Valpo's 3-0 win at Oakland, Murray made five more stops to preserve the shutout for her third blanking of the season.

Valparaiso (5-6-1, 1-2 Mid-Con) will return to action on Friday afternoon as the Crusaders hosts Southern Utah beginning at 4 p.m. at Eastgate Field.
