Valparaiso University's Rachel Janssen (Fort Wayne, Ind./Dwenger H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Athlete of the Week for the second time this season and the sixth time of her career.

The junior won all three matches at first singles last weekend in Las Vegas, Nev. to begin the Crusaders' spring trip. Janssen defeated opponents from Oakland, Southern Utah, and San Jose State all in straight sets, helping Valpo go 2-1 as a team. She also teamed with Jenny Schwartz (Aurora, Ill./West Aurora H.S.) to defeat Oakland at first doubles.

Janssen, who was twice named Mid-Con Athlete of the Week as a freshman and sophomore, also earned the honor this season on January 24.
