The Mid-Continent Conference named Danielle Nunnelly (Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso H.S.) its Athlete of the Week following her record-breaking performance at the Butler Twilight.

Nunnelly took the gold in the 800m run, crossing the line in 2:14.37. Nunnelly's time bettered the Crusader record, held by All-American Collette Liss, by .78 of a second. The time was also the fourth-best in the event by a Mid-Con athlete this season.

Nunnelly and the rest of the Crusader squad return to the track Thursday in Macomb, Ill. at the Mid-Continent Conference Outdoor Championships.
