Valparaiso University's Kyle Obenauf (Salem, Wis./Westosha Central H.S.) has been named the Mid-Continent Conference Pitcher of the Week after a pair of stellar outings against Northwestern and Oakland.

The senior righthander began the week tossing 3.2 innings of long relief, allowing just two unearned runs and three hits against the Wildcats in a non-conference win. Obenauf then went the distance on Sunday in a 7-1 victory against Oakland, scattering just six hits in the seven innings.

For the week, Obenauf went 1-0 with a 0.84 earned run average in 10.2 innings of work.
