Billstrom Runs Ninth at Drake Relays

Ashley Billstrom (Hales Corners, Wis./Whitnall H.S.) put together an impressive performance in the 3,000m steeplechase Friday at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa.

Billstrom crossed the line with a time of 10:45.39. Her mark was good for ninth place out of a field of 20 elite runners. The time, while faster than the current school record and the NCAA qualifying standard, will not count toward records or qualifying standards as the barriers were set too low.
